    Default Cattle

    Sahiwal Cattle Suffering from Fever from morning (105 F), Elevated heart rate, Bounding Pulse, Dry Muzzle, TPR more than 4 Seconds, Respiratory rate and sounds are normal, Parotid and precrural lymphnodes are swollen. Animal is dull. Off feed and of production.

    Age 4 Year
    Milk Production 1.5 liter per day
    Pregnancy status not know

    Environment Raining Heavily from last 6 hours
    HS vaccination is current
    No cohort is affected

    Questions

    What is your tentative / Differential diagnosis ?
    What initial symptomatic treatment you will provide ?
    Ask further questions to complete the SOAP
    What test you will recommend?

    dear friend, i have some doubt... in above set of symptoms how respiration can be normal. plz clerify.

    Re: Cattle,these symptome are not enough,but from temp.& Parotid and precrural lymphnodes are swollen should be found respiratory diorder

    Upper resp. tract infection, Treatment- heavy antibiotics!
    FBS could be another differential, but in that case you can't hear very clear lung sounds.

    DEAR DR.ALIZOHAB7:
    I cant give you a net diagnosis ,PLEASE CHECK PHARYNX AND LARYNX VISUALY; I think it can be necrotic laryngitis; and if you smell foal odor you should hurry with agrassive PENICILLIN_STREPTOMYCINE + DEXAMETHASONE+AD3E therapy. remember that if you hear stredor , you can also hear it in trechea either and it does;t mean upper respiratory involvment.
